GREAT PHONE !

11 months later and the phone is still fantastic. I got a samsung a680 at the same time and I am having all kinds of problems with it. The Nokia however is great. Very strong reception, good call clarity, good battery life, and most importantly after almost a year of very heavy use it still works as well as when it was new.
Overall: Highly recommend this phone !

Awesome Reception

I spent 3 weeks reading reviews and checking out different phones and even made calls on my friends phone and left messages on my answering machine so that when i got home I could hear the different phone qualities. The Nokia 6225 and Nokia 6585 both had awesome reception. There was very little difference in the sound quality of these two phones compared to a land line phone. I just purchased the Nokia 6225 it is a Mother Day's special with Aliant (use same network as Telus) I did not have to put anything down or I would have purchased the Nokia 6585 with the none camera option.
Mind you playing with the phone today the camera option is fun but I am more concerned with the ability to hear my customers when they call me and for them to hear me.
The flip phones look cool but after leaving numerouse messages on my machine from multiple name brands of different flip phones most of the time you definitely could tell it was a cell phone. (the sounds could be ecoish and/or static where the most common)
My advice for those who are looking for a good quality cell phone keep in mind the Nokia 6225 and 6585.
When searching for a phone I was not concerne with any other feature other then the phone quality, reception. The Camera options, and accessing the internet etc... are just bonuses.
I personally did not like the look of the two colores of the Nokia 6225 but I bought a black protective case with a clear protective front to protect the keypad and it looks alot better.
Well I hope this helps some of you in your decision espcially when you are looking for a phone for professional reasons as was my reason to get a cell phone.

Pretty good phone

First, I love Nokia phones, they are ugly as hell, hard to talk on, but they won't break and they will never quit.
This phone, which I have been using for about 2 weeks now, works great. Gets a great signal, takes pretty good pictures (or what you would expect from a camera fixed into a tiny phone), and has some great functions.
My only problems are, there are no good ring tones by default, forcing me to download some. The phone is a bit uncomfortable to talk on for more that 10 minutes, and the memory only holds about 20 to 40 pictures.
Besides that, I love this phone, and even though I'll probably get a new one in 2005, I'll enjoy this one very much until then. Nokia rules!
