I recently went into the Tillicum mall, Tom Harris location , I had what I was told was a simple issue with sending my phone in for repair. I took it to the Tillicum location of Telus, as told by the telus service center and another store to do and my phone would simply be sent for repair. I would have to go without it for 3-4 weeks, but as I have another older phone to switch to for now, I escape paying the $250 deposit. My phone is within the warrenty time, only a few months old. I was told by the associate there that they cannot send it into service because they are not a telus store. And that my only choice is to purchase a new one for only $59.99 or I could send it into to service at my cost, and would be charged for the service, which would most likley be over the $59.99 so I might as well buy a new one.
I will never be going back there again, and as my phone is a pay as you go, I will just switch cell service provider.
