Boost Mobile Data Packs Add-On

At $35/month Boost’s lowest-tiered plan includes a monthly allotment of 3GB of 4G LTE data (all other Boost plans include unlimited 4G LTE data which may be slowed down during times of heavy network congestion). After the 3GB of high-speed data is used, data speeds will be considerably slower.

Chances are if you bought into Boost’s 3GB plan, you’re fairly confident that you don’t use an excessive amount of data. Going over your 3GB allotment in any given month may just have been an anomaly and buying a more expensive unlimited plan might be overkill. Instead, Boost’s Data Packs are the better short-term answer for you.

Boost Mobile’s international add-ons consist of the Todo Mexico Plus, International Connect Plus, and International Minute Packs add-ons.

The Todo Mexico Plus add-on feature is just $5/month and includes:

• Up to 8GB of data roaming in Mexico (this is the only international roaming service offered by Boost)

For $10/month—or free with the Boost Ultimate Unlimited plan—you can get Boost’s International Connect add-on which includes:

• Unlimited calls to and from Mexico and Canada
• Unlimited calls to landlines in over 70 other countries
• 200 minutes of calls to mobile phones in over 50 countries
• Discounts on per minute rates to calls in over 200 more countries
• Unlimited international SMS texts

If you only need minutes to call one specific country, you can add on an International Minute Pack to your plan for $3 per 90 days. This add-on includes unlimited international texting plus an allotment of minutes (varying depending on the country you are calling to) to use within 90 days.

None of these add-ons are required to make international calls or to text internationally. However, you will be charged a per minute rate (varies by country) and 10¢/text.

Boost Mobile HD Buy Up Add-On

HD video streaming is not included in Boost’s two lowest-priced plans (3 Gigs 4G LTE and Unlimited Gigs). If you want to watch video in HD with your Boost phone and you have either of those plans, you can pay an extra $10/month for the HD Buy Up add-on which gives you access to HD video. Just remember that if you have the 3 Gigs plan that watching HD video can eat up your data pretty fast.
