U.S. Cellular Roaming Rates & Information

Making outgoing calls from other countries is available with all Plans. Roaming internationally is currently unavailable for customers on Simple Connect Prepaid plans.

• Rates: $3 per day surcharge, plus $.99 per minute, in addition to pass-through toll charges from the foreign carrier.
• Texting and Data roaming are not currently available.
• Airtime, overage charges, taxes, long distance, and other charges, restrictions, & limitations may apply.

Roaming on select cruise ships is available with all Plans. Cruise Ship roaming is currently unavailable for customers on Simple Connect Prepaid plans.

• Rate: $4.00 per minute for calls made or received while at sea.
• 80? for texts sent, 25? text received.
• $20/MB data.

* U.S. Cellular does not have roaming agreements with all carriers in Mexico. Please call Customer Service at 1-888-944-9400 one week before you travel to ensure services will be available.

U.S. Cellular will automatically send a free text message notification to you when your device registers on an international or cruise ship roaming network. The notification lets you know that you’re in an international or cruise ship area where you can still use your U.S. Cellular service, but at the additional appropriate international/cruise ship roaming rate.
